South Beach Hotel

For a long-standing hospitality client, the firm led multiple renovation projects across two boutique properties—Boulan Hotel and South Beach Hotel—located in the heart of Miami Beach. As Architect of Record, the firm was tasked with enhancing guest experience through targeted interior upgrades and sensitive historic preservation work.

The South Beach Hotel presented a more comprehensive scope, involving full interior and exterior restoration. The project encompassed all guest rooms, the lobby, restaurant, and public spaces, as well as a complete re-landscaping of the exterior grounds. A key challenge—and accomplishment—was preserving the building’s historic Art Deco character while upgrading all systems and finishes to meet modern hospitality standards.

At Boulan Hotel, the design team reimagined the lower-level terrace suites, introducing expansive layouts with sweeping views over Collins Avenue and 21st Street. The newly configured guest rooms elevate the hotel’s offering, blending contemporary finishes with a relaxed, coastal sensibility suited to the South Beach lifestyle.

Ranging in size from 20,000 to 60,000 square feet and with construction values from $2K to $10M, these renovations exemplify the firm’s expertise in both adaptive reuse and guest-centered design.
